Marco Fiore is a researcher at IEIIT since March 2013. Between 2009 and 2013, he was a Maître de Conférences (tenured assistant professor) at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) in Lyon, France, and a associate researcher at Inria, within the SWING and UrbaNet research groups. He graduated in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, in 2003, and at Politecnico of Torino, Italy, in 2004. He received his PhD in Telecommunication Engineering in 2008 from Politecnico di Torino. He also was a visiting researcher at Rice University, in 2006 and 2007, and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, in 2008.

His research interests are in the fields of mobile networking, and include the download, upload, propagation and sharing of content in mobile networks, and the characterization of user mobility in wireless access and spontaneous networks.
